The original Rising Tide Records label was founded in 1995 by

Doug Morris (now former head of Universal Music Group,

Warner Music Group and Sony Music Entertainment) and Daniel Glass (Founder Of Glassnote Records). Shortly thereafter, it was renamed Universal Records and Doug Morris was named Chairman/C.E.O. of MCA Music Entertainment Group (ultimately becoming now known as Universal Music Group). The Nashville branch of Rising Tide Records stayed active until March 1998 when the label was shuttered....UNTIL NOW.

ABOUT THE NEW FOUNDER

Born & raised in the historic Eastern Long Island village of Sag Harbor, NY & founding his first company at age 17, Raymond A. Los is an entrepreneur with 30 years of superior expertise in Recording Artist, Actor & Model Management, Event Development, Music Publishing, Marketing, Publicity and Business & Brand Development. He is the founder, majority shareholder and President & CEO of conglomerate holding company LEAVE A LEGACY VENTURES, which includes ownership stakes music industry powerhouses Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, Live Nation Entertainment, Spotify, iHeart Media and more.

His first record label venture was in 1996 when he re-founded OCEAN FRONT RECORDS after it closed in 1983 following a long history as an urban independent record label that released a vast catalog of Soul, R&B, funk & Rock including Motown era greats Garland Green, David Williams & Tyrone Davis. Several records released off the label feature productions by legendary Motown Singer/songwriter/producer Lamont Dozier. In 2016, with a 37-year history and 40 releases later, Ocean Front Records was sold & transferred ownership to record producer Blaque Beethoven.

After building 8 NON-MUSIC related companies and 6 fashion brands housed under Leave A Legacy Ventures, in Spring 2024, Raymond A Los returned to what started his career, re-establishing TALENT MANAGEMENT services via GIN & MEADOW MANAGEMENT and has taken the helm of his second record label RISING TIDE RECORDS, setting sail on a refurbished vessel in very familiar waters.
